She has extensive experience in fitting and assessing patient’s suitability to digital hearing aids within the NHS. She works very closely with Mr Robinson. Fiona carries out hearing tests and provides specialised hearing therapy advice for Mr Robinson’s patients with hearing loss, tinnitus and balance disorders. In addition she has specialist knowledge on hearing aid fitting. Fiona began her training as an Audiologist in the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, London, qualifying in 1980. She continued her post-graduate education in Houston and Denver (USA). On returning to the UK Fiona instigated and founded a clinic for patients with Learning Disabilities, offering them a unique and comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative service. Following this, Fiona worked with Mr Philip Robinson to establish the West of England Cochlear implant programme, based at Southmead Hospital in Bristol.
